Does my child need experience?

No. Most campers start as beginners. We teach step-by-step using clear instructions, small-group support, and optional “challenge” levels for kids who move faster. If your child can follow directions, is curious, and willing to try, they’ll do great.

Which camp is best for my child’s age?

We recommend: LEGO Robotics Challenge (8–13) for hands-on building and mission challenges, AI Game Creator (9–13) for kids who love games and storytelling, and AI App Creator Lab (11–14) for older campers ready to design and demo an app. If your child is between ages, contact us and we’ll recommend the best fit.

What will my child build or take home?

Accepted Answer

Campers complete a real project—robot missions, a playable game, or an app prototype plus a recap of what they learned. Some camps may include digital files to share at home, but Lego robots remain the property of Robotic Camp.

What formats do you offer (half-day vs full-day)?

We offer half-day and full-day options depending on the week. Half-day focuses on core builds and coding. Full-day includes deeper project time, extra challenges, and a final showcase.

What’s the student-to-instructor ratio?

We keep groups small so campers get support. Ratio varies by camp/week, but we staff to ensure kids can get hands-on help during builds and coding.

What if my child is between ages (or more advanced / brand-new)?

We can place kids based on readiness, not just age. Beginners get step-by-step support; advanced campers get extension challenges. If you’re unsure, reach out and we’ll guide you.

What does a typical day look like?

Warm-up challenge or free build, guided build time, coding session, movement/brain/snack breaks, project sprints, and a daily share-out where kids explain what they made and/or accomplished.

What should my child bring?

A snack, water bottle, and a positive attitude. If your camp is full-day, bring lunch, nut free (unless your location/week states otherwise).  AI creator programs the child should bring their laptop and a charging cord.

What do you provide?

All camp materials needed for projects, instruction, and structured activities. Campers will use shared equipment during camp.  For AI camps, campers should bring their laptops and charging cords.

Where is camp located?

Cary, NC. After enrollment, you’ll receive the exact address, drop-off instructions, and what to expect on day one.  You will also need to fill out a camp waiver form prior to the start of camp.

What are the drop-off and pick-up times?

Pick-up/drop-off times are listed on the camp session details at checkout. We also email the schedule and procedures before camp starts.

What’s your refund/transfer policy?

Our policies are listed at checkout and in your confirmation email. If you need to change weeks, contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to help based on availability.

Is there a showcase or demo?

Yes. For our signature Lego Robotics camp, campers share what they built and their robot runs on the FLL competition board at the end of the week (or session), and we celebrate their progress and teamwork.

What if my child has anxiety, ADHD, or needs extra support?

Tell us ahead of time. We’ll help you choose the best camp format and share tips so your child has a great experience.  Are staff is not trained to assist special needs or high functioning autism.

Is camp safe? What are behavior expectations?

We set clear expectations: respectful communication, collaboration, and careful handling of equipment. If issues arise, we communicate with parents promptly.

Can siblings or friends be in the same group?

Yes. Put a note in registration or email us, and we’ll try to place them together when possible.
